Hydro for slab on grade damproofing in lieu of poly sheeting. Concrete dosed with 1 gallon per yard of Hydro admixture is very effective for slab on grade damproofing by reducing water vapor transmission through concrete by almost one half, at the same time increasing compressive strength by up to 28%. A concrete damproofed with Hydro has a perm rating of 0.413 and exceeds the recommendations of ASTM C 755 by a factor of 10. Plastic sheets are subject to tears and punctures during placing and also chemically breakdown in time.
